Ella has over a decade of experience as a body worker and a healer. The year 2010 was a busy one as she graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelors in Anthropology and a minor in Geology; as well as the Hudson Valley School of Massage Therapy and became licensed as a massage therapist.

From there, she went on to study at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated top of her class in 2014 and moved to Asheville, shortly after, where she began six years of intensive training under JulieAnn and Andrew Nugent-Head. It was during this time that she deepened her understanding of internal and external medicine; becoming acquainted with the individual personalities of herbs based on the principles of flavor and nature, and learning tangible acupuncture techniques to treat pain, illness, injury and create noticable and lasting changes in the body and mind.

In early 2020, she took her training to Bajrabarahi, Nepal where she participated with the Acupuncture Relief Project as a primary care provider. The cultural exposure profoundly impacted Ella as she experienced, for the first time, what true community felt and looked like. Upon returning home and immediately being thrown into lockdown, she became increasingly aware of the loneliness epidemic and disconnection to self and others from which our society suffers, and how this impacts our mental psyche and physical bodies.

It became apparent that the next step was to look inward and figure out what connection to self even meant. She spent the next several years reprogramming her subconscious mind, developing a regular breathwork practice, and deepening her relationships with others.

All of this has culminated in a belief that rebuilding a connection to self and a sense of community with others is crucial to not only surviving, but thriving. It is Ella’s passion to help others achieve this by listening to peoples’ stories to learn where they’re stuck, and teach them new strategies and techniques to affect positive change in their bodies and minds.
