Dr. Wesley is truly a gem. In every session, he brings his compassion, his honesty, and his deep desire to make a positive difference in his patients’ lives. Couple that with his extensive knowledge and experience—and it’s easy to see why patients love him.
His background in both external and internal martial arts means that he knows the body back and forth—and he knows what it’s like to be in pain. From his personal and professional experience, Dr. Wesley has learned to excel in the treatment of everything from painful external injuries to internal disease.
At the center of Dr. Wesley’s clinical practice is a deep desire to connect with his patients, and introduce them to a new way of looking at and experiencing their body. Dr. Wesley loves the way that touch and acupuncture can be a bridge of understanding, connection, and healing between two people. He also loves the way these manual techniques can break down walls and let you feel your body in a new and healthier way. Sometimes during treatment an area that was cold and tight suddenly loosens and becomes warm, sometimes you feel something suddenly connect between your arm and your leg, and sometimes releasing an area causes you to fall into deep relaxation on the table. The tangible, immediate results of treatment enhance Dr. Wesley’s joy and wonder at the mystery and splendor of the human body.
He believes that at the root of disease is a type of misalignment between us and our higher purpose. Inside each of us is an imprint of truth—of who we were meant to be, of what our life is supposed to look like, and of the highest good that we can achieve. The circumstances of life can pull us away from that truth—heart breaks, physical and emotional traumas, and missed opportunities. Our vision of ourselves can also get clouded, and we can think that we need to be someone that isn’t really who we are. Dr. Wesley believes that healing comes through re-aligning to that truth—through acceptance, accountability, faith, and responsibility. His goal is that with every treatment, patients can feel that they have even just a little more clarity on that truth, and a little more understanding of the way forward, and that they can feel calm and supported in their healing journey.
