Acupuncture is the ancient art and science of treating and healing disease by inserting hair-thin needles into specific points in the body (and no, they don’t hurt!). The points are specially chosen for each individual, and even vary from visit to visit based on what’s going on in your body that day! Acupuncture has over 2000 years of documented efficacy in treating disease, and has a breadth of modern scientific research studies that demonstrate its efficacy as well.
Throughout its long history, acupuncture developed into many different forms and styles of treatment. Japan, Korea, and China all have a variety of ancient and modern styles of acupuncture that vary tremendously from one another.
