Dr. Nathan Hoover combines his fascination for plant and human biology with his natural compassion to provide quality and personalized healthcare to anyone that walks into his room. Dr. Hoover is well versed in treating diseases of all types. Whether acute, chronic, emotional, mental, complex or simple, his diverse education and experience has equipped him with the confidence to address all manner of conditions.

West Virginia-raised, Nathan was often found exploring the flora and fauna of local woods and streams. When he was not in the woods, he remained very active riding motocross, BMX, snowboarding or skateboarding. As he grew older, his lifestyle nurtured natural interests in botany, anatomy, and nutrition.  Dr. Hoover originally attended Saint Francis University for a physician’s assistant program, before changing his major to pre-med. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Pre-professional Biology and a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish. While working in the agriculture industry and traveling around Mexico and Costa Rica, he was inspired by a friend who recovered from a disc herniation with Acupuncture alone. He then pursued his training at Doaist Traditions School of Chinese Medicinal Arts where he immersed himself in the world of acupuncture, herbal medicine, qi gong, diet therapy, and western medicine.

Nathan’s philosophy is that we should strive to be beneficial stewards of the earth. His experience in herbalism, agriculture, and the internal arts of nei gong and qi gong showed him how we can all benefit from connecting to our origins and roots to this earth. Nathan spends much of his free time now working on his permaculture garden, hiking in nature, creating wildcrafted herbal medicine and exploring personal cultivation and wellness. His experience has taught him the value of how bodily awareness, connecting with our environment, and caring for our mind can powerfully influence our vitality.

Dr. Nathan’s approach seeks to blend the greatest potentials that eastern and western medicine have to offer us. His goal is to find the most practical and effective methods so that patients achieve deep healing and find their inner potential. Dr. Hoover trusts that by creating good lifestyle habits and inner well-being we can reconnect with our true path to heal ourselves, the earth, and future generations. He is excited to walk this path with you along your healing journey
