Candace’s journey began in a small town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where she and her four siblings spent most of their time steeped in nature. Candace spent the much of her time exploring and observing the landscape around her. This ignited her passion for connecting with and learning about the native plants, which led her to pursue their potential as medicine. Alongside this curiosity, Candace developed a deep interest of stones and minerals, learning to attune to their subtle nature through personal study and meditation. This exploration eventually fostered a fascination with concept of Qi, leading her to practice Qi Gong with a local acupuncturist in 2018, where she began cultivating her own inner wisdom and understanding. Candace continued her studies with Acupuncturist and Qi Gong practitioner Frank Iborra, where she learned the internal art of Nei Gong, a practice that involves working with the Qi mechanism of the inner landscape of the body. In her first year of college, Candace attended Colorado State University studying Health and Exercise Science. The following year she transferred to Fort Lewis College in her hometown where she finished the courses and accumulated the credits needed to follow her passion to study the art of Chinese Medicine.
In 2020, Candace took a significant step toward her dream by enrolling at Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts, embarking on a path to share the healing art of Chinese Medicine and Herbalism. Her dedication shines through in her empathetic approach, creating a nurturing environment for her patients. Drawing from her own experiences with acupuncture, Candace provides gentle, grounding care, making her a comforting presence for those new to the medicine or apprehensive about needles. She is thrilled to join a Family Practice that embraces individuals of all ages, fostering healing for the whole family.
Candace’s mission with each treatment is to empower her patients on their journey to vibrant health. She is committed to preventing disease, alleviating pain, and inspiring self-empowerment. Through her own experiences, she has witnessed the remarkable ability of Chinese Medicine to restore balance, enhance vitality, and reconnect individuals with the natural rhythms of life. Candace believes that the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine holds the key to unlocking our innate healing potential, guiding us toward a life filled with mindfulness, purpose, and self-discovery.
During her free time, Candace loves to care for her chickens, geese, and ducks that she raises with her partner Nathan. She enjoys different forms of creative expression through painting, dancing, baking, or crafting medicinals from nature. Candace finds peace anytime she is
immersed in the outdoors or simply being in the company of her animals.
